Course Description

This course will assist the participant to think outside the box in their instructional strategies for all curriculum content areas. It will also assist in analyzing work products in order to determine what strategies may be used in order to assist struggling students with accessing the Curriculum Standards. This course is geared towards teachers who have average, below average, and advanced students in their classes in order to meet all needs. Heavy emphasis on pedagogy and practical application of Bloom’s and Gardners in today’s classrooms. This course addresses differentiation for various populations: gifted, general education, special education, students with IEPs and 504s and SEI students. Students will also understand how the federal government influences the provision of special education in each state, compare the federal government and your state’s requirements for procedural safeguards notice and how to use evaluation results and teacher, student, and parent feedback to develop the PLEP. Conducted in English.

There is no required textbook for this course. All materials are digital and will be provided in the online course.

Course Delivery 

Online weekly learning modules, collaborative discussion boards and instructor feedback. This course is not self-paced. 

Students who matriculate into an Instructor-Facilitated course should adhere to the dates listed on the website. Final coursework should be submitted within one week after the course end date. Course extensions beyond one week are subject to a $50 fee.
